Hubergroup has launched its new sheet-fed offset ink ‘MGA Contact’ suitable for safe printing on the inside of paper and cardboard food packaging.
Together with the hubergroup dispersion varnish, MGA Contact is approved for direct contact with food, meaning that no functional barriers are required. The colour gamut and light fastness of this ink series, which is now available across the globe, are comparable with those of conventional offset inks.

| Toyo Ink India Expands Gravure Ink Capacity with New Toluene-free Factory |
Toyo Ink India Pvt. Ltd., a member of the Tokyo-based global specialty chemicals conglomerate Toyo Ink Group, recently inagurated a brand new gravure ink factory at its Gujarat site along the western coast of India.
With a production capacity of more than 5,000 metric tons per annum, the new Gujarat factory is expected to boost the company’s competitive advantage in India’s rapidly growing flexible packaging market, while further strengthening the company’s regional and global supply infrastructure.

| Miraclon increases prices and surcharges globally |
Miraclon recently announced has a price increase by 6 percent on all products, effective from February 7, 2022, and the introduction of temporary freight surcharges.
According to the company this action was necessary to maintain uninterrupted supply of flexographic plate material to customers and due to the rapid inflation of raw material, energy, labor and distribution costs impacting the entire package printing value chain. This is the first price increase since the launch of Kodak Flexcel NX System in 2008.
