Dehradun based Om Color Creations, a pre-press unit has invested in the Thermostar T-9 CtP solution for Technova Imaging Systems.
Started with one PC as a design unit way back in 2002, the firm gradually upgraded the systems from single PC to two Katana and one Scitex film processor with operations from three different locations. With the changing demand of the industry, he was first to respond and put up the first CTP plant of Uttarakhand.
With the current acquisition, supplemented with the existing 4648 Cron machine and 4632 cron CTCP,the company’s capacity has shot up to almost 2800 plates per day.
Amit Garg, CEO of the company, is a graduate from NIT Kurukshetra and is aloso joined by his wife in the business. Amit is a first generation entrepreneur and is very much concerned about Nature. His campaign on the usage of eco-friendly bags and say no to polythene has been widely acknowledged by the media.
He was also awarded by the CM of Uttarakhand for his services during Corona as a ‘Covid Warrior’ and presented with the Uttarakhand Icon Award by the Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj. He has been an actor on the big screen and web series as well.
On his choice of the Thermal over CTCP, he says,“Choosing an engine from Technova was a strategic choice as they have a wide network and their support with the plates is immense. Manoj Agarwal was very supportive and Technova is an Indian company with a wide variety of product and their customer orientation is great. It is the time for Thermal and Technova is the first choice. Packaging industry customers have started demanding Thermal Plates. They will be using Elite plates in place of baked pates as there will be no dot gain, which is the biggest flaw in baked plates”.
