Alon Bar-Shany, the worldwide brand ambassador and the face of HP Indigo has decided to leave the organisation after being associated with it for 25 years.

In a statement, HP spokesperson confirming the news said “After leading the business for more than 15 years, the time has come to implement our succession plans. Alon built a deep bench of talented leaders and Haim is the right leader at the right time to lead Indigo forward”.

“Alon will stay with HP to ensure a seamless transition during the coming weeks and months” he added.

During his tenure as General Manager for 16 years, HP Indigo introduced many major developments in HP Indigo presses and applications.

Alon will be succeeded by Haim Levit, who has also been with the company for 25 years, in North America.

HP sources said “HP Inc.announced that Haim Levit has been appointed as General Manager of HP Indigo. Haim brings more than 25 years of print leadership experience to the role, most recently leading worldwide go-to-market for HP’s Industrial Graphics organization”.

In March this year, Bar-Shany presided over the launch of HP Indigo’s new range of printing technologies including the HP Indigo 100K Digital Press which he described as being “born to run”.

I have had the good fortune of meeting him at various events and also had the pleasure of listening to him entertaining large gathering at some HP conferences with his songs and playing the guitar. Hopefully, we will continue this association in a new capacity wherever he chooses to go.
