Epson announces its first UV-LED flatbed printer

Epson enters the flatbed segment with the release of its new UV-LED 10-color Surecolor V-7000 printer.

According to Epson,this new model builds on the success of the company’s award-winning SureColor S Series and delivers outstanding print results that will meet the needs of the most demanding signage businesses.

The UV flatbed printer, offers up to 2.5 x 1.25 meters print capability and prints directly on to a wide range of substrates up to 80 millimeters thick including acrylics, polycarbonates, PVC, aluminum, metal, polyester, foam board, styrene, wood and stone.

The SC-V7000 features Epson’s Micro Piezo printhead for use with a newly-developed set of 10 original inks, including grey, red, white and varnish as standard and with this combination, the printer enables precise reproduction of even difficult spot and corporate colors. The SC-V7000 is said to be designed to meet the needs of today’s signage businesses that must focus on faster throughput and a lower total cost of ownership, without compromising on results.
