Bharat Photostat expands production facilities with Ricoh Pro C7200X

Delhi based digital print business Bharat Photostat has installed the first Ricoh Pro C7200X Graphics Art Edition with white and gold capabilities.

Having joined the family business in 2000, Abhishek Nangia moved into digital printing in 2002 with its first digital printer.

Nangia says, “Our core business was photostat which is why it is called Bharat Photostat. I did not change the name due to the legacy and goodwill of the company.”

The company has added short-run labels and packaging with the new press and plans to install a roll-fed press in the coming years.

“As new start-ups emerge in the market, the demand for short run labels has gone up especially in the cosmetics and pharma segments. We were printing labels in CMYK but with the new Ricoh we have added white and gold colors. This gives us a chance to offer new colors to our customers,” Nangia adds.

Nangia also explains, “Before Monotech, we were facing issues in service. When Monotech reached out and informed us that they are now selling and servicing Ricoh, we felt really confident because of their success with digital print equipment. I trust Monotech. We provide our services seven days a week and wanted a service center that is close to our facility. It was not necessary but was a competitive edge for us. I have good personal relationships with Monotech Systems and I hope that the same trust and faith continues to prosper.”

The companyexpects a 100 percent growth with the new investment with the abilitynow to print on dark and metallic sheets, which will enhance their complete business offering.

Gurvinder Singh, director of sales and marketing at Monotech Systems, adds,“We saw roaring success with digital print equipment earlier and we want to replicate the same success with Ricoh. In terms of infrastructure, we are fully equipped to handle that kind of pace. The market is growing and the Ricoh Pro C7200X is a good machine to start labels. With this machine, Bharat Photostat could move onto a roll-fed machine. It is diversification and value addition for them.”

Bharat Photostat provides short-run commercial print services including brochures, leaflets, posters, flex banners and flyers to walk-in customers, corporates and agencies. It is equipped with digital printers from Konica Minolta and Canon and houses post-press equipment including foiling, UV, binding and lamination.
