Kodak’s 2021 Sustainability Report – ‘One World, One Kodak’

Kodak has published its Sustainability Report 2021, outlining its activities from 2018 to 2021 and highlighting its sustainability objectives towards minimising environmental impact running upto 2025.

Titled ‘One World, One Kodak’, the report outlines Kodak’s programs, specifically on reducing waste and creating energy efficiencies, reducing emissions, conserving water and improving employee and community engagement. The report also details how Kodak responded to the enormous challenges of the global COVID-19 pandemic and leveraged its resources and technology in new ways to support the global fight against the virus.

Jim Continenza, Executive Chairman and CEO Kodak says, “Sustainability at Kodak starts with building a successful and profitable company for today’s employees and the next generation. Because our people are, and will always be, the heart of our company. We’re taking action to drive forward sustainable growth and success for Kodak and all our stakeholders.”

He adds, “We’ve built a One Kodak culture, and I’m proud of the role our employees play to advance it. Grounded in inclusivity, collaboration and connection, One Kodak eliminates internal divisional silos so we can focus on superior customer service and innovation. This truly came to life during the pandemic, when our passionate employees stepped up and demonstrated an uncompromising commitment to getting the job done. This resulted in minimal business interruption and ongoing productivity within our workplace. It also enabled Kodak to be part of the fight against COVID-19.”

In addition to Kodak’s latest sustainability achievements, the report reveals the company’s sustainability goals through 2025. The publication highlights how innovative Kodak products are helping customers in the global printing industry become more sustainable by reducing energy, water and chemical consumption and eliminating waste.

Speaking about the environment issues, Continenza says, “As One Kodak, we take steps to reduce our environmental impact. We have made progress over the years with innovations such as SONORA Plates and water-based inks, but I recognize there is more we must do to further integrate sustainability into our products and operations.”

Continenza concludes, “The events of the past few years have served to reinforce how interconnected we are. What happens on one side of the planet impacts the other. As One Kodak, our people across the globe have a shared responsibility to deliver sustainable growth for our stakeholders and help create a sustainable future for our world.”
