Oshi Photo Café adds black and white capacity with Konica Minolta press

Bangalore based Oshi Photo Café has recently installed the bizhub Pro 1100 monochrome digital press.

Established in 2009 as a large format Flex printing unit, the company entered into the digital production printing business in 2011 with the acquisition of the first Konica Minolta colour digital press. This was followed by another installation of the second colour press four years later.

Arun Kumar, owner of Oshi Photo Café, comments, “I was very satisfied with the quality and service of Konica Minolta and with an increase in demand of black and white printing from schools, government agencies and walk-in customers, we decided to go for the bizhub Pro 1100 monochrome press.”

“The new installation has helped us in saving space because of its compact foot print. Having studied the technology in detail and the inputs I got from Konica Minolta, gave me the confidence to decide on this press”, adds Arun.

Arun feels that, at the end of the day, more than the hardware, it is the service support from the OEM that keeps the press running efficiently.

While the company has an online outlet, majority of the work comes from walk-in customers and other clients. Othe facilities and segments of work include flex printing services, photography and photo printing, visiting cards, brochures and offset printing.

“Expanding my business is not an issue, Printing as such looks very lucrative and being a capital intensive line, it requires a combination of good machinery, finishing tools, skill and designers. Unless you have all these, things will fall apart sometime” concludes Arun.

As and when the company goes into expansion mode, Arun is clear in his mind he will further invest in Konica Minolta hardware. .
