Wee Print installs Ricoh Pro C7200x

Wee Print, based out of Patparganj Industrial Area, New Delhi has invested in Ricoh Pro C7200x to expand its colour gamut from CMYK to CMYK+.

Himanshu Dhall, the second-generation of the family-owned business, said, “The plain four-colour printing was limiting us in terms of offering more to our customers, innovation, and profit margins. Everyone is dropping printing prices and we didn’t want to enter into the rat race. Thus, we opted for the Ricoh press with a fifth printing unit to differentiate ourselves”.

Dhall said the company will soon add invisible red to its colour gamut to produce security jobs. “Because of the extended colours, we are able to produce pantone shades. We printed 350-gsm SB boards on it, which is not possible on other presses,” he said.

On future plans, Sidhanshu Dhall, the second-generation of the family-owned business, said that the company will venture into labels for short-run demand. There are plans to expand its offset production as well. We provide the entire solution from sample to final products. The pre-press is outsourced. We don’t have any plans to invest in that segment,” he said.

He added that the Ricoh press is easy to operate, and the company is using it for innovation to expand its offerings to its clients. It prints on 2400x4000-dpi on non-absorbent substrates as well. “After adding the Ricoh press, we are expecting to print 2.5 lakh A3 colour prints. Right now, we are printing around 1.75 lakh prints,” he said.

He added that the company is working to achieve Rs 10-crore turnover this year with a team of 25 people in a 7000-sqft area.

Ajeet Pareek, business head, digital products and solutions, Monotech Systems, says, “Digital printing is growing, and printers are looking for innovation. The Ricoh Pro C7200X gives a new dimension to the printing with its quality and extended colour and media versatility.”
