The search is now underway for the world’s leading innovators in the label and package printing industry, with a total of five awards available at this year’s Label Industry Global Awards.

Awards are categorized as below:

R. STANTON AVERYGLOBAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
This top honor award reflects the values and vision of Stan Avery and his innovative breakthroughs that founded the label industry and is sponsored by Avery Dennison

AWARD FOR INNOVATION
This award is in two categories, one for companies with over 300 employees and another for those with less than 300 employees. Entries must be for the development of a specific innovation by a supplier or converter company in 2019 and can either be for a new business process or technology-related.

ENVIRONMENTAL & SUSTAINABILITY AWARD
This award is for a specific sustainable product or process by a supplier/converter company in the label industry introduced during 2019.

RISING STAR AWARD

Sponsored by the Label Academy and Avery Dennison, the Rising Star award recognizes the achievements of emerging talent in the label and packaging industry who represent the next generation of leaders.

Mike Fairley, chair of the judges, said: “I am delighted once again to be involved in the Label Industry Global Awards as we search to find, and recognize, this year’s most talented innovators.Now in their 17th year, these awards are as important and relevant as they have ever been. They show how people working together can achieve incredible things in our dynamic, fast-paced industry, and inspire others to do the same. Therefore, on behalf of the judging panel, I urge all sectors of the label and package printing industry to submit their nominations as soon as possible.”

He added: “This year’s celebration will be a little different, in the absence of a gala event, but this will not in any way diminish the achievements of all the finalists and winners. We look forward to honoring them all in a special online awards announcement in September.”

Entry is free and submissions must be received by 26 June 2020. Finalists, along with the winner of the R. Stanton Avery Global Achievement Award, will be announced in early August. All winners will be announced online on 15 September.
