The World News Media Conference which was originally planned for Zaragoza, Spain, in September 2020 will now be held in Taipei, Taiwan on 28-30 September 2021.
In a press release issued by the organisers it said, “Following our enforced absence in 2020, the Congress will be held in a country that has, to date, been the least affected by the pandemic globally. This remarkable achievement is in part due to the highly digitised population of almost 24-million people and a democratically elected government and competitive society who embrace technology and innovation”.
“Our local partner for the event is United Daily News, Taiwan's largest privately-operated Chinese-language media group. It publishes the United Daily News, the Economic Daily News, and the World Journal, with editions published in North America and Southeast Asia. Its digital website, udn.com is the most popular news portal in the country” they added.
