Domino Printing Sciences (Domino) has introduced a new 1200dpi digital print engine
designed for integration into flexographic lines, addressing the increasing demand for digital
hybrid printing and finishing solutions.
The N730i Integration Module, based on Domino’s latest Generation 7 platform, supports
label converters by offering high-resolution digital printing, including variable data
applications, at high speeds.
The N730i Integration Module allows converters to collaborate with their preferred OEM
partner and Domino to develop customized digital hybrid printing and finishing solutions
tailored to their specific configurations.
Michael Matthews, Product Manager – Digital Colour at Domino, highlights, “Brands are
asking for high-quality labels at a fast turnaround, and we set out to provide converters with
an industry-leading digital hybrid printing solution that would deliver a competitive edge. The
modular approach of the N730i Integration Module helps converters create a cost-effective,
future-proof printing and finishing line with an OEM partner of their choosing. We are
pleased to be one of the few providers to offer this flexibility.”
The module leverages Domino’s N730i print engine, which incorporates i-Tech features,
BITSTARTM printhead technology, and TPO-free inks, producing high-quality print with fine
details, such as micro text and CJK characters. It delivers high-resolution printing at speeds
of up to 70 metres per minute across all colors, including high-opacity white at top speed.
In addition to the advantages of hybrid printing—such as increased productivity and
efficiency—the N730i’s Sunrise DFE offers real-time, inline RIP for labels featuring
customization and variable data. This makes print runs with multiple SKUs easy to manage
without the need for offline preparation.
Together, we will create powerful hybrid lines combining Domino’s cutting-edge digital
technologies with flexographic printing to offer the best of both worlds. It’s great to see our
digital printing expertise benefit customers across industries, enabling converters to achieve
new levels of flexibility and efficiency”, adds Matthews. |
