Epson India has inaugurated its first state-of-the-art Digital Label Press Solution Centre in
Okhla Industrial Estate, New Delhi, marking a major milestone in the company’s strategy to strengthen its foothold in India’s rapidly growing digital label printing market.
The new Epson Digital Label Press Solution Centre is designed as a hands-on
demonstration hub for the SurePress L-6534VW, Epson’s flagship high-speed UV inkjet
digital label press. The centre will allow label printers, converters, and manufacturers to
engage directly with the press through live demos, substrate testing, and technical
consultations.
Okuzono Kazuomi, General Manager, IIJ, Sales and Marketing, Epson remarked, “India
continues to be one of Epson’s most strategic markets, particularly in the heavy-duty
industrial printer segment. The Label Press Solution Centre reflects our strong commitment
to the Indian label industry. Through this facility, we aim to deepen direct customer
engagement and showcase the value that Epson brings to the table.”
Tailored for short- to mid-volume label production (up to 1 million linear metres per month),
the SurePress L-6534VW offers outstanding colour consistency, superior print finish, and
speeds of up to 50 metres per minute. Its PrecisionCore printheads deliver resolutions up to
600×1200 dpi, while Variable Sized Droplet Technology (VSDT) ensures sharp image
definition with ink droplets as small as 3.2 picolitres.
A standout feature of the press is its digital varnish capability, enabling both selective gloss
and matte effects. Combined with high-opacity white ink, UV pinning, and a drum platen
system, it produces vibrant, durable labels ideal for demanding sectors like food & beverage,
cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and industrial products.
Prabagaran S, Sr. General Manager, Sales and Marketing, Epson India Pvt. Ltd. explains,
“The launch of our Digital Label Press Solution Centre in Delhi is a strategic step toward
shaping the future of digital label printing in India. This initiative is not just about presenting a
new technology, it is about empowering label printing businesses to rethink their operations,
enhance efficiency, and unlock greater creative potential.”
As India’s packaging and labelling industry experiences rapid transformation—driven by
demand for on-demand, short-run, and quick-turnaround jobs—Epson’s move to establish
this interactive centre is both timely and strategic.
By offering a real-world production environment where businesses can experience, evaluate,
and optimize their label production processes, the Epson Digital Label Press Solution Centre
positions the company as a key enabler of digital transformation in India’s label printing
segment. |
