NEW ON THE BLOCK
Cosmo Films unveils CSP Dualcoat Next-Gen synthetic paper

Cosmo Films, a global leader in specialty films for packaging, laminating, and labelling, has expanded its synthetic paper portfolio with the launch of CSP Dualcoat. The new product combines durability, printability, and sustainability, making it an ideal replacement for traditional paper in applications where strength and longevity are crucial.

Engineered as a co-extruded, white opaque, polypropylene-based film, CSP Dualcoat resembles paper in appearance but outperforms it in resilience. Its dual-coated surface ensures sharp, vibrant prints across multiple technologies, including offset, flexographic, thermal transfer, HP Indigo, screen, and letterpress.

Commenting on the new product, Kulbhushan Malik, Global Business Head, Cosmo Films said, “At Cosmo Films, we have taken note of the industry’s desire to sustainable solutions without compromising on quality and durability. What makes CSP Dualcoat truly special is that it achieves this high-performance standard without requiring any wood pulp, directly supporting our mission to reduce global deforestation. At Cosmo Films, we believe sustainable solutions shouldn’t compromise on quality, and CSP Dualcoat proves that businesses can achieve vibrant, durable prints while making an environmentally conscious choice.”

The material is designed for commercial printing, retail packaging, tags and labels, identification and credentials, and outdoor applications, particularly in environments requiring tear-resistance and moisture protection. With compliance to EU 10/2011, USFDA, REACH, and RoHS standards, it also meets global regulatory requirements.

The launch comes as the Indian synthetic paper market, valued at $53.42 million in 2023, is projected to grow at a CAGR of 6.74% through 2029. Rising demand from e-commerce, FMCG, packaging, and industrial sectors is fuelling the need for robust, weather-resistant printing solutions.

With CSP Dualcoat, Cosmo Films delivers a performance-driven, sustainable alternative tailored to modern printing and packaging demands.
