Ahmedabad-based Printona Multiprint has installed a Canon imagePRESS V800 as its
second digital colour production press from Canon India, significantly raising the standard of
print quality and texture across its specialised range of cards and commercial print products.
The shop, which focuses heavily on wedding, anniversary, and invitation cards alongside
brochures, catalogues, business cards, and flyers, installed the iPR V800 in February 2026.
The press joins a Canon imagePRESS C710 that has been running at the facility for around
three and a half years, with the newer machine bringing a meaningful step up in capability
and output quality.
Dhruv Patel of Printona Multiprint said the impact has been immediate. "Since the arrival of
this versatile and capable Canon digital machine at our facility, we have remarkably
improved the print quality, textures, and vividness of colours in cards and other items," he
said.
The iPR V800 operates at 80 A4 pages per minute with a resolution of 2,400 x 2,400 dpi,
handling media from 52 gsm to 350 gsm. Its substrate versatility extends to covers,
envelopes, synthetics, coated and textured papers, and long sheets up to 1,300 mm, a
range that suits Printona Multiprint's focus on premium, embellished card production.
Backed by a team of over 20 staff including graphic designers, machine operators, and
production professionals, the shop is led jointly by Dhruv and his brother Neel Patel. Dhruv
described the V800 investment as strategic, noting that the machine meets every
requirement for maintaining quality and innovation in their output.
He also highlighted Canon India's consistent aftersales support as a key factor in the
company's ongoing relationship with the brand.
