Vijayalakshmi Gayatri expands Canon fleet with two imageFORCE 8195 Monochrome Presses

Vijayalakshmi Gayatri Laser Color Lab & Xerox, a busy commercial print shop in Chilakaluripet, Andhra Pradesh, has added two Canon imageFORCE 8195 digital monochrome production presses to its production facility, bringing its total Canon machine count to five and significantly boosting its black-and-white print capacity.

Proprietor T. Vasantharao, who runs the business alongside his brothers Ramakrishna and Nagaraju, said the additions were chosen specifically to raise the quality and productivity of monochrome output. The shop's Canon family now comprises the two new iF 8195 presses, a Canon imagePRESS C710 colour digital production press, an imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX 8795i monochrome press, and an imagePROGRAF TX-5400 large-format inkjet plotter, a combination that Vasantharao says enables the shop to handle any print job from business cards to large-format posters.

The imageFORCE 8195 operates at up to 95 pages per minute, handling media up to 300 gsm and delivering output at 2,400 x 2,400 dpi using R VCSEL laser technology. The press also supports long-format banner printing, high-speed single-pass scanning with double-feed detection and offers paper capacity of up to 9,360 sheets for uninterrupted high-volume production.

Established in 2000, Vijayalakshmi Gayatri has maintained a long and prolific relationship with Canon. Vasantharao noted that the shop has owned close to 300 Canon machines over its 25-year history, the majority pre-owned. The current fleet of five, however, are all brand new models purchased directly from Canon India, a reflection of the business's growing confidence and investment appetite.

"With these Canon machines of different printing technologies and formats, we are empowered to print and produce any graphic print or printed product," Vasantharao said.
