Sona Papers and Fedrigoni Bring Premium Italian Paper Collections

Sona Papers, in collaboration with Italian specialty paper manufacturer Fedrigoni, hosted an exclusive industry event titled "From Italy With Love" at The Grand, New Delhi, drawing over 100 professionals from the printing, packaging, publishing, design, and brand sectors.

The event introduced Fedrigoni's latest range of premium and sustainable paper solutions to the Indian market, with attendees experiencing a curated showcase of some of the company's most recognised collections. Papers on display included Arena Smooth Extra White, Freelife Cento, Imitlin, Pergamenata, Life Eco 100, Old Mill, Stucco Old Mill, Stucco Tintoretto, Materica, Sirio Color, and Imitlin Metal, a portfolio spanning luxury packaging, premium publishing, corporate communications, labels, and high-end print applications.

Live demonstrations, sample books, packaging mock-ups, and discussions around emerging trends in luxury packaging and sustainable material innovation gave attendees a hands-on understanding of how texture, colour, finish, and environmental responsibility can combine to create compelling brand experiences. A key theme of the event was the growing potential for premium paper to replace plastic-based substrates, delivering superior aesthetics and performance while supporting sustainability goals.

A representative from Sona Papers noted the timeliness of the collaboration. "Indian brands are increasingly seeking packaging materials that combine visual appeal, functionality, and sustainability. Through our association with Fedrigoni, we are bringing globally acclaimed paper solutions to the Indian market, enabling designers, printers, and converters to create differentiated products while supporting environmental goals," they said.

Fedrigoni's sustainability roadmap featured prominently in the presentation, highlighting the company's use of advanced manufacturing technologies to develop papers that are recyclable, recoverable, and aligned with circular economy principles, offering a credible alternative to plastic across sectors including cosmetics, fashion, food and beverage, and retail.

The New Delhi event underlined the growing importance of specialty papers in elevating brand value and driving sustainable growth within India's print and packaging industry
