Micah Kornberg named CEO of Fiery as Toby Weiss departs for Cybersecurity role

Fiery, LLC, the print industry’s leading innovator of digital front ends and workflow software, has appointed Micah Kornberg as its new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Toby Weiss, who is leaving the company after 17 years to lead a cybersecurity firm.

Kornberg brings over 15 years of experience within Fiery and a deep familiarity with the business across multiple phases of its evolution. He first joined in 2011 when EFI, Fiery’s then-parent company, acquired Entrac, a print-for-pay business of which Kornberg was president. He subsequently served as Vice President and executive sponsor for Fiery’s enterprise accounts division, playing a significant role in modernising the company’s enterprise portfolio. More recently, he led the complex process of establishing Fiery as an independent company following its separation from EFI in 2023, and was appointed Chief Financial and Operating Officer in 2025.

Weiss, who steered Fiery through a series of landmark developments during his tenure, leaves the company in a strong position. His 17 years at the helm included the acquisition of direct-to-film software company CADlink in 2022, the separation from EFI in 2023, Fiery’s acquisition by Seiko Epson Corporation in 2024, and most recently the acquisition of textile software company Inèdit Software in 2026.

“Leading the team at Fiery has been an honour for me. Micah has been an instrumental part of Fiery’s management team for over 15 years, and I have full confidence that he will continue to expand Fiery’s role as the leading DFE technology provider in digital print,” Weiss said.

Kornberg expressed both gratitude and ambition as he assumes the top role. “Toby has been an exceptional leader for over a decade and a half, and his efforts have positioned Fiery extremely well for continued DFE technology leadership and diversified growth. I’m honoured to take the reins and look forward to guiding Fiery to even greater success in the next chapter of its journey,” he said.
