Sharp Business Systems India has launched an expanded lineup of A3 digital multifunctional
printers across India, introducing the BP-71C, BP-51C, BP-71M, and BP-51M series in both
colour and monochrome configurations across Advanced and Essential tiers.
The new series covers print speeds from 26 to 65 pages per minute, supports media up to
SRA3, and is designed to serve a broad range of sectors including education, healthcare,
manufacturing, publishing, hospitality, and BFSI. The devices will be available through Sharp
subsidiaries and authorised distributors nationwide.
A key emphasis of the launch is AI-driven automation. The intelligent Auto Set Scan feature
automatically adjusts resolution, orientation, and image quality for consistent results, while
the BP-71C and BP-71M series achieve scanning speeds of up to 300 images per minute
via a 300-sheet Duplex Single Pass Feeder, among the fastest in their class. The BP-51C
and BP-51M series deliver 80 images per minute through a 100-sheet Reversing Single
Pass Feeder.
Security features are equally prominent. The series incorporates BIOS and firmware integrity
checks with automatic anomaly detection and recovery, an optional Bitdefender scan engine for virus protection, Microsoft Entra ID token-based authentication, data encryption and
erase functions, and automatic online firmware updates. Built-in data erase capabilities also
protect sensitive information at end of lease.
Sustainability has been built into the design from the outset. The devices use up to 50%
recycled plastic, replace polystyrene packaging with recyclable cardboard, consume just 3W
in standby mode, and meet Energy Star standards. Motion sensors on the BP-71 series
activate the device upon approach, reducing unnecessary power consumption.
Osamu Narita, Managing Director of Sharp Business Systems India, said every feature in
the new series is designed to deliver practical value. “From AI-driven automation to multilayered
security and sustainable design, this is where smart technology truly meets human
connection,” he said. |
