
ProPaper, the trade fair brand already established across Dubai, Kenya, Nigeria and
Tanzania, is expanding into India with the launch of ProPaper Bharat 2027. The event will
take place from 8–10 June 2027 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, positioning itself
as a dedicated trade fair and conference for the paper, corrugation, mono cartons,
paperboard, packaging, printing, labels, tissue and converting industries.
The show aims to connect India’s paper, pulp, packaging and tissue sectors with
international buyers and technology providers, featuring exhibitors from around the world,
industry conferences, awards, and networking opportunities, alongside a focus on
sustainable and green packaging solutions.
Organisers point to strong fundamentals behind the launch. India’s paper industry is
estimated at around ¹ 95,000 crore (roughly US$12 billion), producing about 25 million
tonnes annually and growing at 8% a year, making it the fastest-growing major paper market
globally. Per-capita paper consumption remains low at 16 kg against a global average of 57
kg, indicating significant room for growth. The packaging segment alone is valued near
