
RX India has announced the conference agenda for the 20th edition of PackPlus 2026, set
to take place from 20–22 August 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Themed 'Packaging
as the Engine of Growth for the Indian Economy,' the conference will bring together
policymakers, industry leaders and technology experts to discuss standards, sustainability
and innovation across the packaging sector.
The programme opens with a panel on packaging standards and BIS compliance, followed
by sessions on flexible packaging, India's market for which is valued at USD 18 billion in
2025, sustainable alternatives to plastics, and AI-powered smart packaging covering
traceability, authentication and defect detection.
Umang Gupta, country head of RX India, said the sector's changing policy landscape and
technology are rapidly reshaping its economics, and that PackPlus remains the industry's
platform for aligning standards, sustainability and innovation with sourcing needs.
Currently the fifth-largest sector of the Indian economy, packaging was valued at USD
101.12 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach USD 169.73 billion by 2030, growing at a
CAGR of 10.73%.
The exhibition is expected to host 250+ exhibitors, over 15,000 industry professionals, and
500+ live machinery demonstrations spanning packaging, printing, converting and supply
chain solutions.
