Enthusiasm grows as Pamex roadshows continue

At its fourth stop, the Pamex roadshow at Indore saw over 300 delegates participating at the event. Visitors in large numbers joined in from Bhopal, Ujjain and from Indore.

Continuing with the theme ‘Convergence in Print’, industry experts made presentations to share, discuss and educate the delegates on the pros and cons of adopting it as a business strategy.

Talking about thegreat response that PAMEX 2023 had been receiving, Raveendra Joshi, President, AIFMP and Chairman, PAMEX said, “PAMEX, the flagship event of AIFMP,has gained momentum over the years and 2023 is set to break all previous records.”

Tushar Dhote, Co-chairman, PAMEX, AIFMP, then gave a presentation on PAMEX, talking about itshistory and the current status of the 15th edition of the Show, where only few stalls remain availablefor booking. “The Show is very near and so the visitor registrations have started on full swing. Thetheme of ‘Convergence in Print’ has resonated well with the industry and the visitors are going towitness several new technologies at the event this year.”

The Panel Discussion at the conference moderated by industry veteran, V Vaidyalingam, Director,Suba Solutions Private Limited saw very interesting views on ‘Convergence in Print: The Way Forward’.

Gaurav Nema, Pragati Graphics & Packaging Private Limitedshared that during covid the concept of convergence was applied in various segments,like for example the food-safe packaging with reduction in touch points and online buying was drivingconvergence in print during pandemic, while bringing in dimension of sustainability in packaging.

Aditya Pahuja, Colours Packaging SolutionsIndia LLP spoke about Flexible packaging growth by 33% PA and it’sgood opportunitiesstressing on sustainability.

Amit Khurana COO Technova Imaging Systems Private Limited stated, “Change is only the constantthing and one must be ready for this. Speed and innovation should be kept on radar as next 10 years are the golden period for Indian print industry.”

Amit Shah, Spectrum Scan Private Limited shared a video on the making of his very famous 50+ feetSpectrum Express steam engine created with corrugation board.

Speaking about ‘Connected Packaging’ Rajesh Khatwani, VINSAK India made a technology presentation about the importance of track and trace in today’s scenario.

Pawandeep Sahni, OMET India held an interactive session on ‘The Convergence Mindset- How toencash on the biggest opportunity in Print’.He said, “It is important to identify yourdefinition and work towards that direction.” He also felt that costs play an important role inthe process and atight control would ensure high success of convergence business as with each new layeradded, cost of operations would shift.

Premchand Prajapati, Konica Minolta Business Solutions India, joined the event to speak about ‘Digitalprinting & the way forward’. Talking about the drivers of digital printing, he said, “Some of the featuresthat are leading to adoption of digital printing included short print runs, low initial set-up cost for printjobs, improvement in technology, variable data and personalisation.”



The next destination for Pamexroadshow is Bengaluru on 23 February and the last of this series will be Haridwar on 03 March 2023.

PAMEX 2023 is scheduled to be held from 27-30 March 2023 at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai.
