Xerox has withdrawn its participation from the upcoming drupa trade show scheduled for
May 28-June 7 next year, sparking rumors that the renowned "document company" might be
exiting the production print market altogether.
The event organizers are reorganizing stands within one of its new 'digital' halls after the
space initially designated for Xerox in Hall 8B became available.
A spokesperson from Xerox emphasized the company's ongoing commitment to invest in its
production print clients, partners, and potential customers. Despite the decision not to exhibit
in 2024, the spokesperson asserted that print continues to be a significant aspect of their
business. Xerox plans to support its network through initiatives such as thought leadership,
global events organized by Xerox, introduction of new product innovations, and customerfocused
training sessions and demonstrations.
Sabine Geldermann, Director of drupa and Portfolio Print Technologies at Messe Düsseldorf,
commented, “Xerox has decided to cancel its participation in drupa for next year. This is a
decision we regret very much. However, some of the space previously occupied by Xerox
has already been taken, and we are very confident that we will be able to reallocate this
much sought-after spot in the near future."
HanGlory, the Chinese manufacturer specializing in wide format, flatbed UV, and industrial
inkjet presses, swiftly secured half of Xerox's designated space in a prime location within
Hall 8B for the upcoming drupa 2024 event, scheduled to commence next May. Xerox, a
significant participant in major trade shows since its introduction of the iGen digital press at
drupa 2000, has chosen to withdraw from drupa 2024. However, it is worth noting that
Xerox still plans to exhibit at Printing United in the USA, maintaining its presence in the
industry.
The remaining area originally allocated to Xerox has been divided into smaller stands and is
anticipated to be occupied shortly. Impressively, over 1,150 exhibitors have already
committed to participating in the event, indicating a strong and diverse presence at drupa
2024.
