Pamex closes on note of grand success – next dates announced



PAMEX 2023 was a success even before the show opened its doors to visitors on the 27 March. The optimism that was detected among the printers in the roadshows across the country leading up to the event was also evident among the exhibitors.

Raveendra Joshi, in his inauguration speech welcomed and appreciated the participation from the industry. In his address, Manoj Mehta mentioned how the show has grown over past editions in terms of area and the number of exhibiting companies. He also added that the special zones for product and technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Flexible Packaging and Labels added lot of value to the Show.

The show has grown by over 25% over the previous edition and boasted of over 450 exhibitors with 33,812 unique visitors. There were 250+ running machines a 100+ launches on the show floor.Themed around ‘Convergence in Print,’ Pamex 2023 brought the print, label, converting, flexible packaging, corrugation and other allied industries together underone roof.

The National Award for Excellence in Print (NAEP) and the Global Print Excellence Awards held on the evening of the third day of the event at the J W Marriot, Sahar, focused on celebrating and awarding the hard work of the experts in the industry that drives the quality and standards to new heights. In a first, the awards were given away by prominent exhibitors and technology providers to the industry.



AIFMP conferred the coveted Viren Chhabra Print Leadership Award (VCPLA) to Col Comdt. Prof. (Dr) Rajendra Kumar Anayath, Vice Chancellor DCRUST, Murthal (Sonipat) at the event. Anayath is an Indian researcher, educationist and consultant with more than two decades of experience in result-oriented research, consulting and training in the global graphic arts industry.



A FEW SHOW HIGHLIGHTS:

Autoprint



Autoprint launched its Dextra 80HF hot foiling solution and the Autoprint Fine Coat 105, a two-tower UV and aqueous coating machine at Pamex.

The Dextra 80HF is a hot foil facility available as an optional feature with Dextra - 80 Die - Punching Machine as a retrofit attachment.

The Autoprint Fine Coat 105 runs at enhanced speed with CE standard safety features and has added features to make it user friendly and more productive. Autoprint Fine Coat 105 Drip Off is an offline 2 tower UV and Aqueous coating machine with feeders, coating system, inking system and dampening unit.

The company sold both these machines at the show.


Arrow-Digital

Arrow Digital showcased the ArrowJet Hybrid Pro, EFI Pro 16h, and Arrow EZcut 330R, an all in one priming, printing and varnish solution for glossy durable labels.

ArrowJet Hybrid Prois an all-in-one priming and varnish printer, utilizing Memjet’s DuraFlex technology, printing high-resolution labels, flexible packaging, and more at speeds up to 150ft/min.

The EFI Pro 16h hybrid inkjet printer has been strategically designed with a complete stimulus package of features to assure the lowest total cost of ownership, superior image quality, and access to the widest range of substrates/applications.

The Arrow EZcut 330R features dual cutting heads as well as inline lamination and slitting for a full production workflow. It is a full finishing option for label stock up to 13″ wide. The in-line web guide allows for precision never before seen on a blade finisher. Lamination, slitting, and matrix removal allows for high quality finished labels to be produced on demand.


Bobst

Bobst India introduced its newly launched Novafold folder gluer at the show.

Fully manufactured in India at Bobst’s Pune site Novafold 50, 80 & 110 folding gluing and folding carton system creates awide range of box styles, using diverse materials, at high speed.

Sachin Patil, Area Sales Manager TSM sales BUPC – Folding Cartons says, “This machine is easy to operate and it delivers consistent and superb end-product quality.”

The machine range also benefits from rapid setup on all types, and most sizes, of 4 and 6-cornered boxes, produced at speeds of up to 18,000 boxes per hour. The Human Machine Interface (HMI) allows settings to be saved, with automated positioning and remote control for precision and faster job changes.
